Completed Santa Candlestick!!

WOW and WOOT WOOT.....I finished Santa on a stick!!! Doing the happy dance...oh yes I am!! Ohhh..Hi there, didn't see ya come in. HeHe  I guess ya can tell that I am just so happy to be finished with this piece. NOT that I didn't enjoy making him but I have sooooooo many ideas being bounced off me by my muse that I needed to finish him. (before she started throwing things at me ^_^)

I think he turned out to be a handsome fella. He looks more like the old German Belsnickle character than our traditional Santa. I love him though!!

Won't he look handsome sitting on a mantle or foyer table with green, burgundy and gold candles surrounding him?

Now...it's on to the next ooaks. Wander which one my muse will insist on my starting? Thank you for coming to visit....

Until next time............Hugs,
Regi

WIP it Wednesday!!

Santa on a stick..hehe..is coming along. I have his face detailed and his beard has grown in quite nicely. I made a tassel to go on his hood, which I am presently beading the edges as I type this post.  Wouldn't that be AWESOME....typing AND beading at the same time?  Heck..I do good to walk and chew gum at the same time. ^_^

Well goodness me, I sure didn't know that Polar Bear decided to "MOON" everyone. Sorry about that. ^_^
He is going to be with another Santa ooaks. I painted and detailed him while I was waiting on Santa's beard to grow dry.  Don't ya like how the material for his hood matches his candle stick? Just love burgundy, green and gold together....so Christmascy!! (that's probably not how you spell that but it sounds that way and well I do tend to spell how it sounds at times..hehe) There's the little tassel and I'm thinking of attaching the tiny Christmas ABC book to him too. My muse might decide not to but we will see!!

Now...I have got to tell ya'll about this AHHHHHSOME, ABSOLUTLEYFREAKIN amazing blog I have discovered. It's called "Smeared and Smudged" and is the sister blog to "Smeared Ink". Terra is one amazing person that maintains these sisters and she is having a hop like no others: 31 Days of Halloween. This is a group of artist....stamping artist...and talk about inspiration, fun and sharing. YOU have got to go and check this group out...I mean it...do it right now...don't wait any longer and BE WARNED...you are going to love it!! WAIT...don't go just yet ^_^. Please please please read all about this hop...they are giving away some awesome prizes and there is even a scavenger hunt every day. Now.....you can go and

Until next time.............Hugs,

Santa on a Schtick...hehe

I'm working on a new ooaks in my Santa series and this one is called "Santa on a Schtick"..hehe   Noooo, I won't really call him that. Although, it is a Santa on a stick....a candlestick!! I just couldn't resist the temptation to say it like I did....you see...I'm a huge Jeff Dunham fan and I love his character, Jose Jalapeno.
You know...Jose....Jose Jalapeno....on a schtick!! OK OK I will stop now.

For the base of this piece I painted a wooden candlestick with acrylic paints. I used colors that are in the fabric I'm going to use to make his cape hood. I love these colors....so festive. Don't you think?  I am sculpting Santa's head and thought I would take a WIP photo to show you. He is looking rather JOLLY, if I must say so myself.

He's looking at you!!

Hopefully, I will get him finished and baked tonight so that I can detail his face with paints, get his beard on and make his hood. Right now...I have to walk to the school and get my Chazman and wouldn't ya know, it's pouring down rain. Guess we will "DANCE" in the rain on the way home. ^_^

Until next time.........Hugs,
