Last Friday of 2013!!!

Can ya believe it? The last Friday of this year. Time is just going by faster and faster it seems and it can slow down just a tad bit if it would be so kind. ^_^

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Christmas Eve was spent with my youngest sister and her family (minus one of her daughters though...we missed ya Lauren) Everyone liked their handmade gifts...even my BIL put his on and wore it the whole time we were there. He's a good guy!!! Hopefully he will wear it even more and not just when I'm around. Then he will be a super duper good guy indeed. After we ate together we played some games....a card game called Apples to Apples and then Scattergories. I love that game. I have to tell you something that might be one of those things that "ya just had to be there" but it was funny funny funny. If you know how the game works, you have a big dice that you roll and it will land on a letter of the alphabet. Then you have a card that list items. You have to name things for those items that start with the letter that the dice lands on before a timer you set runs out. WELLLLL....the first game we had the letter P and the second game we had the letter E and my sis got a bit confuzzled (yes...it runs in the family..hehe) and used the letter P again but only after the first item using the E. It was so funny that I laughed til I cried because she was so excited that she came up with a word for each item. Like I said, ya probably had to be there.

Christmas morn was well...almost Christmas afternoon. The Chazman was so excited that he just couldn't go to sleep Christmas eve. I let him sleep in and thankfully he did get  up around 10ish. I was happy because I had been up since 6ish. That's a long waitish (hehe) when you are wanting your child to get up and open presents. I mean...really!!!! He was very happy with all his gifts and that always makes me happy too.

All those goodies in front of him came out of his stocking...hehe

Now yesterday and I must say I will NEVER go shopping the day after Christmas again but we did go and I had to go because I had promised the Chazman we would. Just goes to say, never make a promise you aren't willing to keep. Promises are important and I have learned that it's always best to keep them. Now, what was I talking about...oh yes...shopping. I thought since we weren't going to any of the big stores that it would be alright but NOOOOO, the small Gamestop store here had more folks than Walmart did I think. We stood in line for well over 45 minutes but the Chazman got his game and he was happy so it was worth it....this time!!! I'll promise we will go the week after next year. 

I was going to take the decorations down this weekend but Chaz talked me out of it. That's alright though because I love looking at them. His best bud is coming over today to spend the afternoon and the night and he wants him to see them. He also wanted them to be up when he gave him his gift from him. Yeppers, he had me make him another WhoDoo character like last year. Well, it wasn't the same one but it was, kinda. What I mean is that I made the same character but doing something different. Last year his WhoDoo was a surfer dude and this year the same character is a diving dude...hehe

This is the shell the diver WhoDoo is leaning against. It holds him up perfectly. It's a shell we found on one of our beach walks at Ft Morgan. Love our beach walks!!!

My niece is coming to spend the whole day with me Sunday and spend the night too. I'm excited. She loves to do crafts and since she is only 8 then it's FUN crafts that normally call for glitter and I love glitter!!! Doesn't every girl though?

It's a THIS and THAT kinda day!!

OMGOSH.....I have two cats that are going C R A Z Y!!!!  Running and bouncing all over the place....ducking under furniture and then just freezing in place, huffing and then looking to see if I'm watching them. They are doing their best to make me smile or laugh because they KNOW they are in the dog house. OR would that be cat house?? The reason they are trying to get back into my good graces is because it seems they thought they were cat burglars last night and snuck into one of my desk drawers where I keep some of my string. Yes...these dang cats can open desk drawers and it seems pull the tape off that I have on them that I THOUGHT was keeping them OUT!! They found my brand new big ball of string that I make my Whodoo's with and BOY did they have some fun. That is until they got caught this morning!!!

Just LOOK at my ball of string. OMGOSH...stop laughing would ya...it's not funny. Ok well perhaps it is just a bit. HEHE  I have been working on getting all the tangles out and man oh man what a job. As soon as I do get it untangled then I'm going to be working on some of my Whodoo characters. Don't know what those are? Click HERE to find out!! I made one for the Chazman's best buddy for Christmas this past year (see that one HERE) and Chaz wants me to make him another one. He is suppose to be coming to spend the night either tonight or tomorrow night so I have to get BUSY!!!

In between trying to untangle the string. (HEY..it's still not THAT funny) I decided to make some cookies so the boys would have something to snack on. I made several batches yesterday and it seems that we have a cookie monster in the house. I really suspect that we have more than one actually..hehe!! NOOO, I don't mean me...I'm being very good watching what I eat, although I will confess that I did eat one. Just so I could make sure they tasted good. Yeah yeah...that's why I ate it. ^_^   They are peanut butter cookies and so so good and so so easy to make. YOU should make some....you will like them...I promise. You do like peanut butter, ri iight??  Then you will like them. Here's the recipe:

Peanut Butter Cookies

1 cup sugar

1 beaten egg

1 cup peanut butter

Mix sugar and egg together until smooth.

Add peanut butter and stir until blended.

Roll dough into balls (about 1 inch)

Place on cookie sheet, press with fork

(dip fork in sugar and criss cross over cookie)

Bake in 350 oven for 12 minutes

Take out..let cool. EAT

Don't those look YUMMY!! Oh and I did NOT forget to mention any flour because you don't use any flour. Use only the three ingredients above...that's all....easy peasy!!

I'm tackling another monster today as well as a cookie monster.....the dreaded laundry monster. Ewww...I so hate that one...well..not really hate. I just wish someone would invent a drier that after it finishes drying the clothes it would automatically fold them too...hehe...wouldn't that be grand!! So as you can see, I am having one of those THIS and THAT kinda days. How's yours going so far?

Come visit the WhoDoo Swamp.....

Deep in the WhoDoo swamp where the mist can be as thick as the spanish moss hanging from the trees, the locals tell of tales, of the tortured souls, just waiting for someone to step into their realm. If ya travel into their swamp please take caution for there are plenty of creatures, WhoDoo residents, owls and snakes.

The infamous pirate, WhoDoo Lafitteetee, still rules the WhoDoo Bayou's from the beautiful shores of the Gulf of Mexico to the magical and festive city of New Orleans....for sure pod nah...as well as all the mystical places in between. Ya might just hear him calling out "Avast ther ye bugger..it not be yer treasure I be a wanting...it be yer comb. I need me a comb". Yikes....just look at that blue mess Lafitteetee calls hair)

As you travel further into the swamp, remember it's home to some mighty big cocodrie (alligator). NOTHING is as big though as the WhoDoo dragon that calls this place home. DANGER...BEWARE,
for he loves to snort fire and will invite you to be a snack.....oops...sorry about that!! I meant to say he will invite you to enjoy A snack. S'mores anyone??

As night falls all visitors must be watchful and listen to all the night cries. If you suddenly hear Brains....Brains  I'z need me some brains" stand very very still cause littlebig zombie must be near. He loves to pick other peoples brains....and......oh wait....I bet ya thought I meant to eat. No silly, he just loves to find out what you know that he may not know.

If littlebig zombie gets to out of hand with all his zillions of questions....all you have to do is starting singing this song  "Ooo eee, Ooo ah ah, Ting tang, Walla walla bing bang" and then get ready for (have you guessed who? HA) the witch doctor to appear. Oh yes...the witch doctor...everyone's friend, he will tell you what to do to get zombie to stop bothering you.

Now as you leave the WhoDoo swamp, make sure you turn and wave. For a shy little ooglie googlie eyed guy will be bidding you adue and whispering "Ya'll come back real soon".

Soooo....did you enjoy your visit to the swamp? I so hope you did and I'm even hoping more that our little Chazman will too. You see...this is his gift from me (and Daddy, of course) If you have been reading my post then you know that he has been asking me to make him one of the string characters for months now. I think he is going to be very surprised when he finds that he has a whole swamp full...hehe!!  The tree at the beginning of the story is the hang out (literally...it's where he can hang them).

I made little paper boxes for each one...well....except for the dragon and the tree...I used a cardboard box for dragon and just...well....wrapped the tree. HEHE

They are sitting under the Christmas tree just waiting for Christmas eve when the Chazman can open them. I wander if he will even notice I have put them there? I wander if the gang will start calling out to the witch doctor to get them out of the boxes? Oh dear!!!!!
