Psssttt...it's that time!!

Happy Happy Sunday morning all and I hope it's been a good one so far!!! I have been working on some bracelet holders for all the bracelets I have been making lately. No need in them just lying around...so the cats can try and sneak off with em ..hehe.  I hear some asking "what's a bracelet holder Regi?".  If you are new visiting under the old Southern ooaks tree or missed the post then just click HERE and learn how to make one for yourself.  Here are two I made to hold the beaded memory wire bracelets and one for the hemp rope ones.

This one I used paper on all of it. Around the bottom I used some ribbon that had tiny pearls sewed to it. Notice the paper on the bracelet holder part.....it has PEARLS!!!

This one I used paper for the bottom and the short column and used a felt sheet for the bracelet holder part.
I glued tiny shells around the bottom. Pretty, eh?  If you would like me to make YOU one just send me a comment and I will be more than happy to and then list it in my Etsy shop just for you. The cost will be $10 plus shipping. (remember though, I did give you a "How to" on making your own above) Also, I will choose the papers and or felt.

While I was waiting for the glue to dry on the blue one I worked on another hemp rope bracelet. I just love the deep burgundy rope with the turquoise turtle beads. Add an olive shell to it and well it's just a perfect lil beach theme bracelet.

Now if you will remember, a few days ago, I said that I would be giving away one of my jewelry pieces. Today is the day!! No hoops to jump through, I promise. Just be the fifth person to leave me a comment and you will be receiving a bracelet in the mail. Make sure you're not set up as a "No-reply" blogger/commenter or I will have no way to get in touch with you. If you're not sure then click HERE and see how you can find out and even how to fix it. Make sure to leave me an email address so I can contact you, if you are the 5th one. (Ohhhh...and only one post per person counts..hehe) Share my blog with friends and better improve your chances of being the 5th commenter. Hmmmmm....I might just send the person that sends new friends that start following me here a little sumthin sumthin as a thank you. Just make sure they mention YOUR name in their comment. Let's have some FUN this year and what's more FUN than receiving a surprise in the mail.

Until next time...........Hugs,
Regi

Beach does a body good!!!

Good afternoon!! I hope everyone has had an awesome weekend so far. I know that mine is going along quite nicely so far. We went on a small beach walk earlier today and it was soooo nice to recharge our batteries. hehe  I didn't find any big stashes of shells but did find a few small ones here and there. It was nice just feeling the sun on our faces and smelling the salt air.

I worked on the hermies and mermies this morning and I think they turned out fairly well. Let me know what ya think please.

The hermies will look so much better when I get them in their little habitats. I'm having to watch Boo and Callie really close because apparently they think they are real and keep trying to smack them with the paw and hissing at them. Silly cats!!!

I also worked on some jewelry pieces using some of my olive shells and one of my tiny Nautilus shells. I did my twisted square knot hemp rope ones and then attached the shells with pretty charms. I'm working on a necklace now that will have one of the bigger olives and a larger silver turtle charm.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you will come again and soon. Please leave a comment...I love my comments and I love answering them back. I have made some good friends since starting this blog and I'm hoping that I will make even more this year. I do want to ask you a favor though...please make sure you aren't posting as a noreply person. It's easy to tell if you are (it has something to do with blogger and google+) Just check and make sure you have your email address attached to your blogger or google profile. If ya don't know how to check then please visit Robin over at Fluster Buster...she has a really good post telling you just what to do. Like I said....I love your comments and will always answer YOU back when I have an email address. Let's make sure I have one.....friend!!!!!

Until next time...........Hugs,
Regi

Hermies and Mermies....hehe

Happy first Friday of 2014!! Soooo....how's the new year resolution lists going? I only had one thing on mine remember and......well.....I haven't been able to do it yet. BOOHOO!!! Now some will laugh at me for the reason I haven't been and the reason is because it's just too dang ccccold!!! Well, it is. I kid ya not. It's 11:42am and our temp is 35 (with the wind chill it's 27) I might have attempted it this morning after I dropped off the Chazman at school but with the wind....OMGOSH....Mother Nature would have chilled me to me bones. I have a few shells I can work with today. Whew!!!

I have two hermies (hermit crabs) in the oven baking along with two shells with mermies (mermaids) tails sticking out. HEHE

Once they have cured and cooled then I can detail them with my acrylic paints. I'm hoping to get some of the mason jars soon and get the hermie habitats done. I'm also hoping that the weather is going to be what they predict on Sunday.......sunny and 60+. I need some shells!!!!

I've been working on this lil (and I do mean LITTLE) mermie darlin all morning. I used one of my big doll sewing needles to sculpt her with. Once cured and cooled I will detail her with some of my MICA powders and acrylic paints. She is going to have some of the pretty wool hair too and perhaps a pearl headpiece. My muse is still whispering to me. ^_^

Thank you for dropping by and I hope to see you again SOON. I won't say what day it will be (so you have to come back..hehe) but in the next five days I'm going to be giving one of my shell jewelry pieces away. No catches, just that you have to come visit and leave me a comment. Easy peasy, ri iight??

Until next time..............Hugs,
Regi
