Top O the Mornin Thursday to ya!!!

Is this year seeming to just be flying by? I can't believe that it's really March already...ok...ok...I CAN believe it, I just can't beeeelieve it...hehe. Ya know what I mean!!!

I took down the Mardi Gras decorations and put up the St. Patrick day ones. Remember...we love to decorate around here. OK.....OK......I LOVE TO decorate around here. (the Chazman does so enjoy looking at them though)I haven't done anything for the mantel as of yet because....once AGAIN.....I'm out of ink. I think that my muse must come in here and print all kinds of things off and doesn't tell me. I KNOW that I couldn't be using it that fast. ^_^  I'm sure I can come up with something that won't require any printing....HUMMMMM!!  Perhaps a short and sweet visit to Pinterest today will give some inspiration.

Here's the things we do have up....Welcome to Regi's B&B

The wreath, if you are a regular visitor here, ya already know was a past birthday gift but I so love redecorating it for the different holidays. It's amazing what great items you can find at the Dollar Tree. HEY...just sayin!!
Mr Meet and Greet Bear is proudly wearing his Leprechaun hat and holding his lucky four leaf clover.

Love our beads from Mardi Gras and they don't just get used for that Holiday either, as you can see.
Well....this isn't the B&B but it is my kitchen and I couldn't leave it out of the decorations. Could I?
Mr Bear, of course, is wearing his sweet little hat and sporting even more Mardi Gras St Patrick's day beads...hehe

Have YOU decorated for this month's holiday? I would love to know what you do if you have. Inspiration can come from so many places. Speaking of inspiration...I think it's time for that short and sweet *snorting...yeah ri iight* Pinterest visit.

Until next time..............Hugs,
Regi

Pssstt....I listed some new items in my Etsy shop. Need a unique gift.....go take a peek!!! (A link to it is on the side bar over there)

February Holiday Tree is up!!

Well....we might be fighting that gnarly, nasty bug here but nothing and I mean NOTHING was going to make me break my promise to my Chazman about our Holiday tree. I promised him when we talked about doing this, that it would be changed out to it's new holiday the first of each month. A promise to your child is one that needs to be kept.

HAPPY FEBRUARY BY THE WAY!!!  February is a month with several holidays...like Ground Hogs Day which is tomorrow and Super Bowl Day which is Sunday (yes to some that is a major Holiday..hehe) There's Mardi Gras and Valentine's Day which we are celebrating with our tree. There's also Ash Wednesday and President's Day too. So many possibilities!!

A friend gave me a beautiful mesh ribbon wreath for my birthday this past October (thank you so much Shannon) and I have it hanging on my front door....sooooo...naturally, it is going to get decorated. ^_^  It is such a pretty wreath and I'm going to try and keep it looking that way and what better way than to use a pretty Mardi Gras mask and party horn and oh yes.....a few Mardi Gras beads that we caught in the past.

The Chazman got to choose which Holidays we had the tree represent this month. He picked very well I do believe. I wanted to pull the two together so I made two of my Mardi Gras paperdolls holding pretty glittery hearts. As well as making some cute little Valentine's paper tags and heart clothes pin holders.

What would Mardi Gras be without the laughing and sad jester's? We added those to our tree too....of course we had to separate them so no trouble would be cast about...one at the bottom, one at the top. HA!!

There is tinsel with happy carnival faces and strands of Mardi Gras beads all around the tree. We love it!! So happy that we decided to do this.

The Chazman has a special strand of beads that actually have the jester beads on it. The tree kinda overwhelmed it so we found a place that it would be seen and enjoyed. A new addition for this month to the tea party gang.

So that gnarly, nasty bug may have me down but so not out. I kept my promise to my little man and he is smiling brightly. He made my day when he told me that "I was the bestest mom in the world....cause I was making such AWESOME memories with him". Now that is the bestest medicine a mom could get when not feeling well. ^_^

Happy February and until next time.............Hugs,
Regi

Decorating complete...I think ^_^

Happy Friday Morning my sweet friends!! It's suppose to be a beautiful weekend here at the coast and we sure are hoping the weatherperson is right. Gulf Shores is having their annual Christmas parade tomorrow and the Chazman is excited. Heck fire...who am I kidding....I'M EXCITED...I LOVE parades!!!!

I finished the decorating yesterday. Yea, me!! Well....I used all the decorations I had but have to admit that I really want to go and buy some garland and some crystal balls. Nooo...not letting my gypsy soul out..hehe. I want the clear ones so that I can paint them. I want the garland to put around the front door outside and a few other places in the house. It kinda looks NEKKID!!  I haven't bought any new decorations in...OMGOSH...years. It's been YEARS people...years!! I think I just might have to go and buy some...a few anyways.

I showed you apart of the kitchen yesterday when showing you my little bear holding his mistletoe but didn't have everything up so that was as far as ya got. HAHA  Soooo, I guess perhaps I should show you the kitchen today. I collect Christmas mugs and have a very nice collection going, if I must so say myself. Please excuse the dark paneling....we live in a well worn but very loved HOME. The landlord said that I could paint over the paneling and she would even buy the paint but it's going to take A LOT of work but I might break down and do it. MIGHT!! Owwww, I'm getting off my post topic aren't I? Let's go peek at the kitchen.

My cozy little nook in the kitchen looks, well...cozy!! If you click on the picture you can see it a bit bigger. The wreath on the wall holds mugs that represent all my boys 1st Christmas and my hubbikins. (one his mom gave me that he painted when he was a little guy) The one mug hanging on the wall by itself is Santa's very own mug. HEY...Santa has to have milk in a mug to wash down the cookies ya know. The hubbikins says it needs to have something a bit more warming in it than milk but I will not be responsible for Santa walking off the roof or running his reindeer into a chimney. ^_^   See the little tree on the table? It has my copper Christmas cookie cutters hanging on it and there is a Christmas bowl filled with my plastic Christmas cutters. Hanging on the wall above some of my mugs are more cookie cutters. The Chazman and I love to make cookies at Christmas. Ok...that's not the complete truth...we love to make cookies anytime. Cookies are gooood!!

My little mug collection....I LOVE it!!  I started collecting them on the Chazman's first Christmas so I need to find one for this Christmas.

Now for the Chazman's room. I want to add some of the new garland that I'm going to buy because I haven't bought any new decorations in years..hehe..to this shelf. It looks NEKKID too right now. Chaz made the sock snowman last year at school. He is the snow rider...HAHA!! The motorcycle he is riding is one that the hubbikins made Chaz a few years ago. AWESOME, ri iight?  See the necklaces hanging in front of the stockings? The one on the right is a Mardi Gras one but the one on the left is a Christmas one and the Chazman is hoping to add to it after we go to the parade tomorrow. They throw these necklaces off the floats and he is hoping to catch one...again!!

The Chazman's closet door is where we hung his wreath and a BIG stocking. Hummmm, I'm noticing that somehow there are quite a few stockings hanging about. Hopefully, Santa will fill them all. I better put my name and the hubbikins name on at least one of them...we still "BELIEVE".

So....now that all the decorating is done, until I go and buy some new decorations because it's been years since I have I'm going to work on my niece's wedding garters and then Li'l Miss LuLu and Santa. I hope that you have something FUN to do today. Enjoy your weekend...I know we will ours!!

Until next time..............Hugs,
Regi

Christmas Decorations for 2011

It's amazing how you use the same decorations year after year and enjoy them just as much as you did when they were new once you get them all put out and arranged. It's always such an exciting time when it comes to decorating at our home. I get to start the mess decorating while the Chazman is at school. Putting up the tree...stringing the lights. NO decorations go on it yet though. Our Christmas village is placed in the dining room. Such a romantic awesome way to eat at nights...with the twinkling and glow of the village lights. Placing all of our different Santa figures about. Most are ones that my parents had...so they hold memories. One is an original that I made for my DAD....that one holds a very special memory. Garland hung here and tucked there. All in it's new place for the year. Wait you say.....what about the tree? You didn't decorate the tree!!! Well sillies...of course I did...it's just the one thing that the Chazman and I do "TOGETHER". He and I have been decorating the tree since he was 2. I leave it for last and patiently wait for him to come home from school so that we can continue our tradition. I would like to share our Christmas home for 2011 with you. Do come in and WELCOME.....

He's holding mistletoe...Gimme a smooch!!

Santa made for Daddy...very special (hope you clicked on DAD above to read about why)
Joseph made this metal sleigh for me several years ago...so cute and HEAVY. Guess from all the gifts!!
Love my vintage mugs...the two smaller ones are over 70 years old.

Our Romantic dining room lighting!!

Chaz loves this...we made it about 5 years ago. He gets so excited to change the day each morning.

We have our kitchen decorated as well...with my collection of Christmas mugs...I do have a few...LOL!!! It's a rather dreary day today and that photo just doesn't want to be seen for some reason. I hope that you enjoyed your tour...we so loved having you. Come again...anytime!!

Until next time....HUGS, Regi and the Chazman
