Sewing Nana, a OOAKS in the Old Folkes Series

Price: $ 175.00 plus shipping

Sewing Nana.....it has been a long Southern tradition for Grandmothers to celebrate the birth of a new child into the fold with a blanket lovingly made by her hand. These blankets are sewn with love and some tell the story of the new babies family. Some are sewn to cuddle baby while they are small ones and then passed down to their children.

Nana has a strong wire armature that is covered in a soft body. Her head, hands and feet are made from Prosculpt clay without the use of any molds. Her legs are poseable and she can stand with the aide of a doll stand. (14 inches tall when standing) Her face and eyes are hand painted using acrylic paints. Her hair is lambswool (sheared). She has a tiny handmade pearl necklace with matching earrings. Her outfit is handsewn, right down to her tiny bloomers. She sits in a wooden chair that has a handsewn chair cover and seat cushion. The seat cushion and ottoman are covered in a vintage tapestry. Her tiny sewing basket holds her spools of thread, knitting needles, wool and a tiny sewing book. Her chair, ottoman and sewing basket sit upon a tiny throw rug on a faux finished tile floor.

If interested in having her come live with you, please email me for additional purchasing information. Thank you for taking the time to look.
